Navitar Men’s Team Takes First Place at 2016 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Rochester Race

ROCHESTER, NEW YORK - June 10, 2016 – Navitar, a global leader in optical design and manufacturing, placed first overall in the Men’s Team division of the 26th annual J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge® held May 24th at the Rochester Institute of Technology. This win qualifies Navitar to compete in the 2017 Corporate Challenge Championship and marks the second time the company’s Men’s Team has taken first in the Rochester race.

Official results posted yesterday show Navitar as the first place finishing team with a combined total time of 1:18:50, beating Pictometry by just 3 seconds. Navitar team members were Jesse Williamson, Mike Brindak, Chad Byler and Matt DeRosa.

Jesse Williamson placed fourth overall for the Men’s division, completing the 3.5-mile race with a time of 19:06. Mike Brindak, Chad Byler and Matt DeRosa, logged times of 19:28, 19:30 and 20:46, respectively. Mike, Chad and Matt ran in the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Champion Race in London in July 2014.  

Navitar CEO, Jeremy Goldstein comments, “This is Navitar’s 10th year participating in the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge. We are thrilled to have our Men’s team place first in the event and it is great to see such enthusiasm and increased participation from our employees each year”. Navitar had over 35 employees and family members attend. 

A total of 402 companies, both large and small, with 10,236 runners and walkers participated in this year’s race making it the sixth largest Corporate Challenge in Rochester to date.
