Newport
Beach, California (April 26, 1999) -- G.M. Vacuum Coating Laboratories,
Inc. announces the introduction of their new BrightLight line
of UV filter, reflector and mirror components that dramatically
increases the efficiency of existing UV
light sources.
Founded
in 1967, G.M. Vacuum Coating Laboratory is fast becoming a world
leader in the enhancement of UV light sources. G.M. Vacuums
BrightLight technology can improve the typical brightness of an
existing UV light source by 5-20%. Their UV reflectors and filters
are used in the manufacturing production processes associated
with fiber optics, printed circuit boards, paints, graphic arts,
printing, adhesives, etc. to dramatically shorten the curing time.
Examples include the 33% increase in the curing rate of fiber
optics and the faster curing of printed cereal boxes by 10 times.
UV curing is quickly replacing the use of dangerous solvents and
other harmful pollutants.
Within the
visible light spectrum, G.M. Vacuum has had great success in producing
hot mirrors, cold mirrors and specialty lighting filters. In the
military arena, G.M. Vacuum has been a leader in the sputtering
of metals on glass, germanium and other exotic materials for use
in projects such as missile navigation systems.
The G.M.
Vacuum acquisition is the latest in a series of growth moves by
Navitar in recent years. With the addition of G.M. Vacuum, Navitar
will now have production facilities in New York, Pennsylvania,
California and Florida. |
